Oral sedation is recommended when patient´s anxiety, fear, or phobia is sufficient to prevent the delivery of needed dental care without medication.
Another indication is the presence of motor dysfunction, like patients with cerebral palsy or Parkinson’s disease, whose uncoordinated movements may be worsened by the anxiety of being in the dental office.
Our specialists will define what type of oral sedation will be needed for each case, and will be explained to the patient when presenting the treatment plan.
